Thousands of ETU members attend May Day marches across Qld and NT

Across Queensland and the NT ETU members and their families joined thousands of other unionists to celebrate May Day. As always the biggest contingent was in Brisbane where thousands of the ETU family turned out on a mild day to show their support for union values, reflect on past wins and losses and share comradeship with fellow members and their families, a true "union christmas". Reports from many regional centres in Qld and the NT indicated that our union was either the largest contingent or close to it in many places, well done! This year's theme highlighted the trade union movement's support of the YES campiagn in the Voice Referendum later this year, with our ETU Labor Day shirts making the point "Social Issues are Union Issues. YES to the Indigenous Voice to Parliament"

All in all a fantastic weekend - check out our socials for more photos and reports.
