Good progress with ECA and NECA, PSG ready for sign off, but ODG drags the chain.
Over the past few months your ETU representatives have been negotiating in earnest to finalise agreements in the Contracting Industry.
We are pleased to advise that progress is being made with ECA and NECA and as such the following companies are close to over the line;
- Logan City and
- Klenner Murphy
Pacific Services Group (PSG) which we have been negotiating with separately have presented a document that meets our log of claims, we will be meeting with PSG on January 10 2013 to finalise and sign prior to final a vote by members. This is a significant move forward.
When finalised they will be added to the companies already signed up;
- E&I Solutions and
- Commercial Electrical.
While good progress is being made as stated above, O’Donnell Griffin (ODG) are dragging the chain they recently sent out a Newsflash to employees stating their wage offer was 9.75% over 3 years. This offer is an insult and is well below the industry standards and more than 40% less than Agreements close to, or already struck with other companies.
To all members in the Contracting and Construction Industry, have a great festive season, recharge the batteries and be ready for an empowering year in 2013.
