Gold Coast city council water and waste are under attack by those who have the agenda of outsourcing to big multinationals, Downer and Broadspectrum.
The explosive revelations came after Unions were provided with a leaked document with a Utilita letterhead (Broadspectrum/Downer joint venture) which stated, “… how we are best positioned to pursue a new opportunity with Gold Coast water for outsourced maintenance when it comes to market in a few months’ time.”
This didn’t work when they tried to do this under AllConnex, and it will not work this time either, it will just mean insecure work and higher bills for poor quality water.
We will fight this every day they try to push this.
