The first step generally taken to enter the electrical trades is to become an Apprentice.

The ETU recognises the important of the apprenticeships and accordingly has a dedicated section for Apprentices.

ETU State Organiser Scott Reichman is responsible for all your Apprenticeship questions. Although Scott is available to assist with technical questions such as E-profiling, training contracts etc, Members in the first instance should contact your local Organiser responsible in your area.

Apprentice training, safety and their rights are a main focus of the ETU.

Apprentices should regularly check this section for continuous updates that effect their trade and apprentice training.

Electrical apprentices may be eligible for back pay following a FWC ruling on apprentice awards.
